Valiant Solutions is seeking a Federal Business Developer to join our highly growing and respected team! As the Business Developer, you will be integral in finding, capturing, and cultivating our Cybersecurity Federal Programs portfolio.  This ideal candidate has at least 1 year of federal contracting experience. This role will be crucial to our growth and development, ensuring we can accurately describe Valiant’s differentials in the way we do business and the technical expertise we provide.

 

The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, and demonstrates responsibility for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments. Valiant’s focus is Cybersecurity; however, we have been expanding into other areas of IT for the past several years and will continue to do so. We:

 

  • Are a large, small HUBZone business with a runway on many contract vehicles anticipating outgrowing small business status in the coming years
  • Multiple corporate certifications including CMMI Level 3; ISO 9001, 20000, 27001 & Top Secret FCL
  • Multiple Prime contracts, including a $90M Cyber with Exceptional CPARS across both Prime and Subcontract

  • Strong Proposal team to help develop winning proposals

As a Business Developer, you will:

  • Work with various corporate team members in the Business Development, Proposal, Operations, and Recruiting teams.
  • Respond to RFIs and act as proposal lead for small opportunities seeing them through to submission 
  • Lead and participate in internal projects like customer profiles, reusable content library, and various longer-term research projects. 
  • Self-generation of leads via networking, cold-calling, referrals, marketing, networking, and events
  • Understand the needs (via asking lots of questions) of, and make impactful presentations to sales prospects
  • Help the organization win- 
  • Wear multiple hats; being a small team you will be pulled in different directions to help the organization grow.

You’ll Bring These Traits and Experiences: 

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with a federal government contractor
  • Hunter: We want someone confident in contacting CISOs and other federal decision-makers to set up meetings with our technical team
  • Personal Drive: We want someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to "push" themselves. Management will help you achieve your greatness, but that personal drive to close deals and outperform must come from within.  Success in this area will result in higher commission/bonuses

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and also be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer.

Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange information visually and verbally.

Must be able to occasionally bend and lift files and papers up to 10 pounds throughout the office space for events and meetings.

 

Work Environment:

Individual's primary workstation is located in an office area

The noise level in this environment is low to moderate
