Security Integration Engineer

Required Experience

• 3 to 5+ years’ experience with systems administration: The successful candidate must have experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX server operating systems administration. You must have Strong command line experience with Linux or UNIX including OS installation and configuration, security hardening, patching and package upgrades, and must have in-depth experience with an IDS tool like Security Onion, Snort, or OSSEC
• 3 to 5+ years’ experience installing and maintaining AWS environments following best practices
• 3 to 5+ years experience with Endpoint protection System. The successful candidate will have proven experience in the configuration and administration of endpoint security agent solutions such as Endgame or FireEye HX. The candidate must be able to explain how they have implemented and advanced these tools within an organization.  This is not just an operations position, the successful candidate will be responsible for making improvements.
• 3 to 5+ years’ experience with data log streaming platforms and tools to ingest data from systems, applications, and access logs.
• 3+ years experience scripting in Python or Ruby
• US work authorzation and the ability to pass a federal background investigation to obtain a security badge

Responsibilities Include:

• Scripting experience with PowerShell, bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby

• Designing and implementing logging solutions in cloud and on premise data centers
• Develop and manage high volume data ingestions and real time data flow processes
• Write Logstash parsing pipeline configuration files
• Developing GROK patterns for Logstash
• Administer applications running on Linux and UNIX systems in virtualized and cloud environments
• Works with remote teams to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security hardware
• Troubleshoot a range of IT security and connectivity issues
• Support other team members in troubleshooting and project efforts
• Provide support for internal and external customers in a large enterprise environment
• Ensure customers receive top of the line support in a polite and courteous manner
• Keep detailed records of customer interaction and problem resolution in a ticketing system
• Develop standard operating procedure and network topology documentation
• Provide on-call and afterhours support as required.

Responsibilities May Also Include:

• Working within the Ansible tool for setting up automation capabilities
• Use Elastic SIEM to monitor events and trends using Kibana
• Automating new integrations with the Elastic Stack
• SOAR automation
• Investigate emerging Elastic advancements that relate to our customer's needs and implement those upgrades
• Automating server configuration for security including logging, key changes, and system hardening
• Automating the implementation of security controls in Amazon Web Services (AWS) via the AWS API
• Developing security enhancements to improve the security posture of our Government clients
• Developing custom enhancements to COTS tools to improve their functionality and enrich data
