All candidates must have US work authorization with the ability to pass Federal background and credit checks.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of vulnerability management experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Certification(s) in IT Security that meet or exceed DoD 8570 IAM Level 1" (Certified Authorizing Professional (CAP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Network Defencer (CDN), CompTIA Cloud+, GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC) or equivailent or higher level security certification)
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scanning using scan tools such as Tenable Security Center, Nessus Manager, Tenable.IO, Rapid 7 Nexpose or related tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain federal agency-required clearance

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze and define security requirements for information protection
  • Defines and develops security policies 
  • Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet network, system, or application security requirements.
  • Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing needs 
  • Analyzes the sensitivity of information and performs vulnerability and risk assessments based on defined sensitivity and information flow 
  • Review the customer’s vulnerability reports from service providers, help triage, and escalate issues as needed 
  • Collaborate with the customer’s service providers to identify the presence of vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans 
  • Provide vulnerability assessments and provide risk analysis 
  • Review scan data and address CVEs that are on the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Binding Operational Directive 22-01 - Reducing the Significant Risk of Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (CISA BOD 22-01 KEV) 
  • Assist in addressing new Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), or Ongoing Authorization (OA) requirements. 
  • Administer and operate the enterprise OS scanning tools, ensuring the program is able to meet or exceed government requirements for vulnerability assessments.
  • Identify critical flaws in applications and systems that cyber attackers could exploit by conducting vulnerability assessments for networks, applications and operating systems. Team members will use automated and manual means to pinpoint vulnerabilities and reduce time-consuming tasks through automation.
  • Troubleshoot reported vulnerabilities with systems administrators and other security staff.
  • Seeking to improve enterprise-wide understanding of true risk.

Remote Work Policy

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and also be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer.

Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express one self, and exchange information visually and verbally.

Must be able to occasionally bend and lift files and papers up to 10 pounds throughout the office space for events and meetings.
