Position Description

Valiant Solutions is seeking an HR Assistant for a Part-Time, Remote/Work from Home position with flexible hours and the ability to commit to 25 hours per week. Some availability between 9-5 Monday - Friday EST is necessary to attend team meetings.  This position will support Human Resources functions delivering a variety of administrative activities with a focus on onboarding, HR system administration, and recruitment.

 

As a Human Resources (HR) Analyst, you will support the entire employee lifecycle, from pre-hire to post-exit, with an emphasis on onboarding, HRIS data integrity, auditing, reporting, compliance, event planning and operational support. This is a part-time, remote role ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, loves optimizing HR processes, and brings creativity to support company culture through internal events and initiatives.

 

Compensation: $20–$28 per hour, commensurate with experience. Please note: health benefits are not included.

 

Core Responsibilites: 

 

Pre-Hire and Onboarding Operations

  • Coordinate pre-hire processes, including folder creation, reference checks, background checks, and applicant communication.
  • Manage non-starter processing and referral outreach. 
  • Set up and complete onboarding, ensuring I-9 compliance and welcome meetings are conducted.
  • Track and follow up on missing onboarding documents or updates.

Employee Records, Compliance & Auditing

  • Conduct detailed audits of HRIS systems (Voice, Paylocity) for data consistency (e.g., titles, managers, contracts).
  • Track, verify, and update employee certifications; manage expirations, new certifications, and quality reviews.
  • Create and maintain employee Valiant Profiles and ensure signed job descriptions are collected and filed.
  • Support employment verification processes and benefits administration documentation.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and update employee data across systems.
  • Input monthly HR Dashboard data and support creation of ad hoc HR reports.
  • Track and verify updates in the Retention Tracker and ensure accurate employee records post-hire and post-exit.

Event Planning & Culture Support

  • Coordinate and support internal culture-building initiatives including company events (e.g., holiday parties, picnics, newsletters).
  • Assist with awards, games, and logistics for virtual and in-person gatherings.

Process Improvement & Project Work

  • Assist with new process documentation, SOPs, and identifying opportunities to automate or streamline operations.
  • Provide administrative support during acquisitions or transitions.
  • Fulfill miscellaneous and ad hoc HR support requests

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 1–3 years of HR experience in an assistant, generalist, or analyst capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paylocity) and ATS tools (e.g., iCIMS)
  • Familiarity with I-9, EEO, certification tracking, and employment verification processes
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive) and Excel 
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including document proofreading and formatting
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data with discretion
  • Self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving, process improvement, and supporting team culture

The compensation for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The hourly pay for this role is expected to be in the $20 - $28 per hour range.
