This candidate will provide technical expertise on Security and Privacy control implementations and the development of Information Security procedures for systems and applications. You will be part of a team working to establish an Information Security framework and help develop a comprehensive IT Security program at the agency level.

The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools, including CSAM, eMASS, and/or Archer. You will work with government branch chiefs to perform requirements gathering, analyze options, present recommendations, and implement solutions. You understand the responsibilities of ISSOs and Assessors. You can configure tools with new versions of security controls, track compliance with controls, import data to support submission of evidence, or export data to support various reporting needs. Ideally, you will have also performed the migration from one GRC tool to another.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience maintaining or administering Governance, Risk, and Compliance tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or 1 additional year of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must have one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, or GRC Professional Certification (GRCP)
  • Should have hands-on experience manipulating Excel files to produce reports (filtering, sorting)
  • Experience drafting Security Impact Analysis reports as it pertains to the GRC tool
  • Ability to work autonomously and operate in a proactive manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend programmatic and technical directions and operate with a high degree of independence in matters relating to the administration of GRC tools (CSAM/eMASS/Archer)
  • Lead the procurement, installation, configuration, and operations of the selected GRC tool
  • Support administrative tasks associated with the tool
  • Be responsible for user and role management, liaison with the vendor on application patching, and version upgrades as they are released by the tool’s vendor. Be able to clearly present and articulate version upgrades and the business benefits. 
  • Support for both development and production environments 
  • Produce and run GRC reports on a weekly basis. 
  • Provide monthly activity reports for GRC support requests, administration and maintenance tasks, and ongoing project tasks.
  • Provide GRC user support by answering questions, providing guidance, and tracking support requests.
  • Ensure IT activities, processes, and procedures can be performed within the GRC tool
  • Internally assess, evaluate, and make recommendations to management regarding the adequacy of the GRC tool
  • Draft Security Impact Analysis reports as they pertain to the GRC tool
  • Work with the client staff to identify and address evolving tool requirements
  • Interact with client stakeholders for troubleshooting, resolution, and user training

The salary range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The salary for this role is expected to be in the $85,000 - $100,000 range. Where a candidate falls within the band can be determined based on one or more of the following: skillset, experience level, achievements, education, geographic location, security clearance, involvement in corporate tasks, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base salary, this role will include benefits as described below.  Valiant reserves the right to adjust the salary range, experience requirements, and position responsibilities at any time without prior notice. 

 

Remote Work Policy
