This will include incorporating NIST 800-53 security controls and policy requirements into each design. The successful candidate will have experience designing layered security architectures, including security fabric coverage for the network and cloud service provider right up to the application.  Our company has a strong focus on security automation and data analytics and experience in these two areas are essential to success in this position. This security architecture role provides guidance and hands-on implementation support for government systems deployed in cloud and on-premise environments. The successful candidate will also serve as a project manager managing the implementation of security engineering and network changes for our client, in line with compliance requirements.   - The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the implementation of NIST controls, and the technical controls in particular.  The candidate will have a good understanding of security tools used to discover, scan, protect, and defend an organization’s network and systems.  The candidate must be highly competent in leading Agile Scrums and delivering iterative innovation through by leading a team in an Agile environment. Prior tool experience will include: - Network Security tools: Next-gen Palo Alto firewalls, Fortigate firewalls and UTM, Cisco FirePower, and IDS/IPS solutions e.g Suricata  - Endpoint Security tools: Carbon Black, Cylance, TrendMicro, Endgame - Vulnerability Management: Tenable Nessus   - The candidate will have had prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies, be well versed in the current state of Information Security, and be able to interpret requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, GAO, etc). The candidate will be required to interface with federal employees and contractors to perform the required activities.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience performing similar work for a federal client, to include strategic planning, solution development, threat modeling, FISMA assessments, and technical background. The candidate will be responsible for the performance of security control assessment planning and execution in compliance with client policies and procedures with minimal supervision. The candidate will be required to conduct walkthroughs of the systems being assessed to collect all required artifacts to support assessment findings. The candidate will be responsible for developing all required assessment deliverables (including Security Assessment Report, filling out of all test cases, updating POA&M document). The candidate will have had prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies, be well versed in the current state of Information Security, and be able to interpret requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, GAO, etc). The candidate will be required to interface with federal employees and contractors to perform the required activities. Additionally, the candidate will responsible for assisting in the presentation of the security control assessment status reports and findings to the client.
