Valiant Solutions is seeking an experienced Incident Commander to direct and manage multiple work streams and resources during/after Incident Response & Recovery engagements. You will be tasked with the incident response coordination and project management, in a matrixed environment, of triage, forensic imaging and analysis, breach containment, and infrastructure recovery planning and execution, after action reporting and analysis. The candidate will be responsible for the performance of security control assessment planning and execution in compliance with client policies and procedures with minimal supervision. The candidate will be required to conduct walkthroughs of the systems being assessed to collect all required artifacts to support assessment findings. The candidate will be responsible for developing all required assessment deliverables (including Security Assessment Report, filling out of all test cases, updating POA&M document). The candidate will have had prior experience working with a wide variety of technologies, be well versed in the current state of Information Security, and be able to interpret requirements of relevant governing bodies (NIST, OMB, GAO, etc). The candidate will be required to interface with federal employees and contractors to perform the required activities. Additionally, the candidate will responsible for assisting in the presentation of the security control assessment status reports and findings to the client. All candidates must be United States Citizens with the ability to favorably pass a federal background investigation. This position is based in Raleigh, NC.   Job Duties: - Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment. - Provide high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on moderately complex problems relating to cybersecurity that require an appropriate level of knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. - Apply principles, methods and knowledge of cyber security to specific task order requirements, advanced principles and methods to difficult and/or narrowly defined technical problems in cybersecurity. - Assist other senior consultants with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in related domains. - Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders and system owners to ensure all NIST 800-53 controls are properly implemented and assessed during the steps of the ATO lifecycle - Direct experience working in governance, risk and compliance - Must be able to work in the RTP, NC area - there is no telework  Required Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2+ years of cyber security work experience   Desired Experience: CISSP and 4+ years of cyber security experience Experience with the XACTA tool is a big plus   About Valiant Solutions: Valiant Solutions is a security focused IT solutions provider with both public and private sector clients nationwide.  As named one of the fastest growing privately held companies by Inc5000 and Best Places to Work in the DC area by WBJ, Valiant Solutions provides its employees with great benefits and opportunities for advancement.
